Veterans picnic — Pitch-in with meat, buns, drinks, ice, table service, for all veterans, active duty personnel, government workers, and their families, Deer Run shelterhouse, noon to 2 p.m., free, bring a side dish. Sponsored by local American Legion Post 13.

Hog roast, truck dedication — Brown County (Nashville) volunteer fire station, 231 E. Main St., new truck dedication from 4 to 6 p.m., hog roast from 6 to 9 p.m., $9 per meal or $1 to $4 per item.
