PET TAILS: Find treasures, help animals at annual Barn Sale

NOTE: The donation drop-off and sale dates have been corrected below; they are different from the dates that ran in the print version of the Aug. 1 paper.

Where else can you update your holiday decorations, find a set of china for your daughter’s new apartment, and buy your husband a fishing reel all at one time? The Brown County Humane Society Barn Sale!

Where can you stock up on DVDs for the grandkids, add to your collection of Hummel figurines, and finally get that desk for the home office? The Barn Sale — three days, thousands of items, all to benefit the animals and programs of the Brown County Humane Society.

Whether you’re looking for furniture for your home, tools for your garage or planters for your garden, you’ll be sure to find something of use at the Barn Sale. You never know what you might find, and the hunt is half the fun.

Donate your new and gently-used items (no clothes or shoes, please) to help support the homeless animals and community programs of the humane society.

BCHS is seeking donations of furniture, antiques, collectibles, books, toys, tools, dishes, decorations, rugs, appliances, lamps, records, garden items and more. Large items like furniture sets, cars, boats and equipment are especially needed.

Having a yard sale? Don’t put what’s left back in the house; donate it! Didn’t use the skis this year? Donate them! Realized knitting just isn’t for you? If you’re not using it, someone else can. Donate it!

Don’t let your valuable space be taken over by things you never use. Donate them to a great cause.

Donations can be dropped off at the BCHS barn during the scheduled times, or if you have individual items valued at over $100, we may be able to arrange pickup. Contact Sue Ann at 317-727-4134.
