PHOTO GALLERY: Young Artist Show winners

Student artists won prize money and praise last weekend at the Brown County Art Guild’s annual Young Artist Show. The show, open to artists from area communities who are 18 or younger, was judged by Brown County artist Dixie Ferrer. Prize money was donated by Brown County artist and former junior high art teacher Patricia Rhoden Bartels. Winners were:

Best of Show: Amanda Rooksberry, “Last Stop,” fine point marker, Bloomfield High School, $150 prize

First: Hannah Walls, “Homes of Memories,” acrylic painting, Bloomfield High School, $125 prize

Second: Lilly Bringle, “Boy in Bloom,” graphite pencil drawing, Columbus, $100 prize

Third: Kaitlin Burger, “Arbol de los Cielos,” acrylic painting, Bloomfield High School, $75 prize

Honorable mention: Emma Huber, “Sunset Stallion,” acrylic painting, Brown County Intermediate School, $50 prize

Honorable mention: Kendra Earnshaw, “Fading Heart,” watercolor, Brown County Intermediate School, $50 prize
