CORDRY-SWEETWATER — A Cordry Lake man was taken to a hospital over the weekend when his vehicle was hit in his lane by another driver.

The crash happened at about 3:10 p.m. Oct. 20. David Payne, 61, of Eel Drive, was driving on Nineveh Road in a curve near Center Lake Road when his truck was hit by William Mink, 88, of Chipmunk Drive, according to a police report by Deputy Jeff Brahaum.

Mink told police he didn’t know what happened. Payne said that Mink’s car was in his lane, and that he was off the road to the right halfway and Mink hit him on the side.

Mink was not injured. Payne was taken to a hospital with head pain. Both vehicles were towed.
