Letter: ‘Give up on hate. It will never save our nation.’

To the editor:

My sister died last week. She was the person in my life who taught me to look at all sides of any issue. She was the fairest person I have ever known.

People! Listen to each other. Give up on hate. It will never save our nation.

No matter where you stand on your political beliefs, consider why your neighbor feels differently.

Together let’s figure out how to live with one another.

Death makes all of us think about what is really important. The petty issues that divide us have to be put aside, and we must decide now to improve all of our lives so they are worth living.

I want this to be my sister’s legacy.

Help me, please!
