Rotary club
The Brown County Rotary Club will meet via Zoom at 8 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3.
Dr. Norman Oestrike, Brown County health officer, will be the guest speaker. Dr. Oestrike will discuss the progress of COVID-19 in Brown County, the steps we have taken to stop that spread, the effectiveness of those steps and scenarios for the future.
Dr. Oestrike graduated from IU School of Medicine in 1970 and served his internship, residency and fellowship at IU Health University Hospital. He is board-certified in neurology, which specialty he practiced until his retirement in 2005. He served on the health board for three years and was then appointed to the health officer position seven years ago.

Rock and mineral club
The Brown County Rock and Mineral club meets the third Saturday of each month and has outings most months.
