Where’s There? Where did you come from? Where did you go?

Hey Brown County, long time no see— and by that I mean, it’s been a week. I’m back on my exploration with a new spot.

This has been a very special place in Bean Blossom since 1941. Not only can you camp here, but you can also seek out high quality entertainment. Much of my family is originally from Kentucky, so we know all about this type of music.

A famous musician of the 1950s bought this place after falling in love with it’s charm where it received its namesake. It is known for a specific genre of music and festivals.

It even has a cool wooden sculpture that you can take a photo with. What a shame that I didn’t ask for his name, I can’t quite put my finger on it but he looks like a William to me — hint hint, wink wink.

As a teenager I heard rumors about a terrifying haunted house that was set up every year in this park. If you know me personally you know that the fat-lady would be on Broadway before I would step foot in a haunted house. Nevertheless, the park has had many uses throughout the years.

With this information I ask you, Brown County where did you come from? Where did you go? But more importantly, where’s there, Cotton Eyed Joe?

If you think you know where I am this week send us an email at [email protected] or stop by the office to let us know your guesses. All correct guesses are put into a drawing and the winner gets their very own copy of 175 Years of Brown County. That could be you!
