Sprunica Elementary will be closed Friday, Feb. 26 due to a staff member testing positive for COVID-19, parents learned this evening.
On Friday, the building will be closed for deep cleaning. Students are expected to be able to return in person on Monday. People who were identified as close contacts of the staff member have been notified.
All other schools in the district will be on the green, in-person plan on Friday.
This is the first COVID-related closure that Brown County Schools has had to do since Jan. 19, as COVID absences, cases and exposures have generally dropped over the past month in all buildings.
